Woman, 24, murdered 'kind, generous' friend, 58, in her own home after 'preying on her to fund drug addiction'
A 24-year-old woman has been convicted on murder after killing her friend in her own home. Deka Omar was found guilty of murdering Susan Ioannou yesterday (Tuesday, March 5), and will be sentenced next month. Police were first called to Susan's Edmonton home in February 2022, where paramedics pronounced Susan dead. Her cause of death was found to be traumatic head and chest injuries, with compression of the neck.
