First photos from inside Kilburn flat fire as mum grabbed her kids and fled burning building
First photos have emerged of the aftermath of a Kilburn flat fire which saw flames out of control on the 13th floor of a high-rise tower. The major blaze caused smoke to billow out of the window yesterday (September 18) as 60 firefighters tackled the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known but the Mirror understands that it began in the kitchen as loud pops and explosions were heard by those near to the blaze. One woman who lives in the block of flats said that she grabbed her kids and fled the building before being left stranded in the cold. Pictures taken at the scene this morning show the messy aftermath, with the floors covered in puddles and soot. Litter, boxes and pieces of clothing were strewn across the floor inside the home, where some of the furniture remained intact.
