Met Police jobs on offer with £36k salary and you don't need a degree
The Metropolitan Police Service has jobs on offer that start with a £36,000 salary - and you don't need a degree. The three-year apprenticeship programme called the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), allows those interested in joining the police as an officer a great starting salary and the chance to work towards a fully funded degree in Professional Policing Practice. It starts with a training period before you are taken out on the streets to get frontline experience from officers bestowing their practical experience to the trainee. Over 2,000 officers have joined the Met’s apprenticeship programme since it launched in January 2021. The scheme has seen officers go on to pursue specialist careers in the Met such as mounted branch, authorised firearms officer, or even detective.
