BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright's son breaks silence after broadcaster's death at 69
Steve Wright's son Tom has spoken out with a moving message after his dad passed away at 69 on Monday. BBC Radio 2 DJ 'Wrighty', who was famous for his radio show 'Steve Wright In The Afternoon', died earlier this week prompting a flood of tributes to the much loved presenter who called himself 'DJ Silly Boy'. On Monday morning, police and emergency first responders went to a flat in Marylebone , Central London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed." They continued: "The death was unexpected, but is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner." A few days after Steve died, his son Tom, who had come from Los Angeles to the UK to take care of him before he passed away, issued a moving tribute to him online, reports The Mirror.
