First British Museum crime scene pictures as man knifed outside tourist spot
The first pictures have emerged from the scene of a stabbing outside the British Museum in Central London, with police arresting one man on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm this morning. The photos show a large number of police officers on the scene this morning with crowds surrounding the crime scene and a blue forensics tent erected on a pavement. Police were called to the scene of the attack at the junction of Russell Street and Museum Street around 10am today (Tuesday August 8). His condition is still being assessed by medics. Police say the incident is not being treated as terror related and was an isolated incident with no outstanding risk to the public.
