London weather forecast hour by hour and when heavy rain will fall amid 27-hour Met Office warning

London is set for a very wet evening but will avoid the worst of the daytime downpours on Saturday as a Met Office yellow warning comes into effect. Warnings over flooding have been issued across Britain as heavy downpours are set to lash the country with a 27-hour Met Office alert for rain in place. All of England and Wales is covered by yellow Met Office rain alerts lasting from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening, though Northern Ireland and Scotland will also be damp. In London the daytime is actually looking relatively dry throughout with overcast conditions from midday to 7pm with a 10% chance of rain. That gives way to light rain at about 8pm with a 60% chance of downpours. The temperature will remain constant at 12C according to the Met Office until it drops to 11C at 2am on Sunday.
