A family are furious with Tesco as they found a large shard of hard plastic in the Meal Deal pasta that they bought for their disabled daughter. When they went back into the store to talk to them about the problem the stress of the whole situation at the lack of help they could provide caused the mother to have three seizures. The family have said since that Tesco has shown a distinct lack of care and are 'disappointed' with their responses. On September 12, Mike Packwood, 51, bought his daughter a Tesco Cheese and Tomato Pasta pot from the meal deal section at Tesco Extra, Cardington Road, Bedford. His daughter has long-term special educational needs and disabilities and thus enjoys the same meal every time. Halfway through the daughter's meal she became very distressed and removed what turned out to be a large piece of hard plastic from her mouth.
