EastEnders fans 'rumble' who's really plotting against Linda – and it's not Dean
EastEnders fans are speculating that Fraser is in cahoots with one iconic character in a sinister revenge scheme against Linda Carter.
Earlier this week, Fraser made an appearance at The Queen Vic, introducing himself as an associate of Dean Wicks, who's currently behind bars for the murder of Keanu Taylor. In a concerning turn of events for The Six, Fraser proposed a deal to the pub landlady - withdraw her witness statement and he'll admit to her rape.
Despite Johnny Carter advising his mum against accepting Dean's offer and cautioning that it could reopen the murder case, Linda was adamant about wanting Dean out of her life permanently and starting anew.
Johnny also reminded Linda that Dean isn't trustworthy, but she remained resolute. Linda justified her decision to Johnny, and even though he warned his mum that Dean might not keep his promise, she stood her ground.
He also hinted that Sharon could be implicated for murder, but Linda informed Johnny that Jack Branning had mentioned they could still charge Dean based on other evidence, reports the Daily Star.
Johnny convened an urgent meeting with Denise, Sharon and Jack to discuss Linda's plans to retract her statement, causing widespread alarm.
In the meantime, Linda rendezvoused with Fraser at Peggy's to accept the deal and requested the details to be put in writing. However, when she went to the bar to fetch Fraser a drink, he made a phone call confirming that the deal was sealed.
"Yeah it's me, all done", he informed the unknown caller, "Please, she's eating out the palm of my hand. I'll see you later then", before ending the call.
However, not long after, Jack showed up and arrested Fraser for blackmail and perverting the course of justice, thanks to Johnny tipping him off about Linda's actions.
Linda was livid with her son for interfering in her life, asserting that she didn't need his assistance.
But as she was closing up The Vic, Linda noticed an envelope addressed to her on the bar. She opened a letter which read: "I know what you did at Christmas. Liar!", but who could have sent it?
EastEnders enthusiasts are speculating that Aunt Babe is the one attempting to bring Linda down. She is Shirley Carter's shady aunt who was ousted from The Vic in 2017 following a dispute with Mick and Linda.
One viewer posted on X: "The font of that writing is just sooo Aunt Babe, but it makes ZERO sense for her to be Linda's blackmailer # EastEnders."
Another commented: "#EastEnders. Linda receiving a threatening letter - but who is behind it? I think it's Shirley or Aunt Babe? ", while another added: "Dean reconnecting with Aunt Babe to exact her revenge would be one hell of a twist NGL #EastEnders."
"Personally think Aunt Babe is related to the Linda blackmail #EastEnders", one fan exclaimed.
"Why do I feel like it's aunt babe blackmailing Linda #EASTENDERS", another questioned.
