TfL warns 4 London Underground and Overground stations may be forced to set up queues on April 26

Transport for London (TfL) has announced London Underground and Overground stations may be forced to set up queueing systems on Saturday (April 26). The Victoria and Weaver lines are expected to be extremely busy as boxing fans make their way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Chris Eubank Jr's bout with Conor Benn.

Some 62,000 fans are expected to attend which will have a considerable impact Seven Sisters, Bruce Grove, Silver Street and White Hart Lane from 5pm until the end of the day. TfL is advising people to travel earlier if possible.

Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale, both on the Victoria line, are the recommended stations for spectators to use. They are both a 30-minute walk from the stadium.

Bruce Grove, Silver Street and White Hart Lane are closer to the venue, but their smaller size and less frequent services means attendees may need to wait longer to board a train.

Central London roads will shut for the London Marathon

Extensive road closures are in place across Central London this Sunday (April 27) for the London Marathon. The elite races start in Blackheath at 8.30am, with the mass races starting in waves between 9:35am and 11:30am. The route finishes along the Mall.

There will be large crowds along the route and Tube stations will be busier than normal. The DLR from Tower Gateway to Lewisham will start earlier at 5.30am, with all other services running from 7am. Cutty Sark station will be exit only, while services from Woolwich Arsenal will only run to and from Stratford International.

On Sunday there will also be a reduced service between Paddington and both Heathrow Airport and Maidenhead due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Trains will not stop at Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing. Use Tube services or local bus routes.
