Man hospitalised with ‘gunshot injury’ after reports of shots fired in Tottenham
A man has been admitted to hospital with a ‘gunshot injury’, after reports of shots being fired on a residential road in Tottenham. Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene last Sunday (August 18).
Officers were called to the residential Cemetery Road, in Tottenham just after 8pm to reports of shots being fired and a fight taking place. When emergency services arrived they found ‘evidence of someone injured’, but no one at the scene.
Not long after, at around 8.18pm, a man in his thirties turned up at hospital with ‘gunshot injuries’. His condition was treated as non life-threatening.
The Met police say that detectives from the North Area Command are investigating, but that no arrests have yet been made.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Police were called at 8.02pm on Sunday, August 18 to reports of a shot fired and a fight taking place at Cemetery Road, Tottenham.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. All persons had left the area when police arrived, however, evidence of someone injured was found.
“Shortly after, at around 20:18hrs, a man, aged 30s, self-presented at hospital with a gunshot injury. His condition was not life threatening.
“Detectives from the Met’s North Area Command investigate. There have been no arrests.
