A dad reckons he's the first person to have run London’s entire transport network - covering almost 500 miles in four months.
Dave Thomas, 64, covered the 12 Tube lines, six Overground lines, the tramlines, the Docklands Light Railway - and a cable car.
Having taken a selfie at each station for evidence, the retired NHS worker is now hoping to hear back from Guinness World Records about whether his achievement is record-worthy.
But he says he's been in touch with Transport for London (TfL) who believe his efforts are "unique."
The dad-of-two has raised nearly £6,000 by taking on the challenge, which will be donated to the Chance for Children charity.
He started last year at Morden station
Dave said: “I wanted to raise money for charity, but I couldn’t just ask people to sponsor me to run a marathon because I do those all the time.
“I contacted Transport for London and they think it is unique. People have run the Tube lines before but no one has ever run the Tubes, trains, DLR and the trams.
“I promised the charity £2,500 and I have almost got £6,000 now so they will be very happy about that.
“I was absolutely amazed by how many people donated. I have been gob smacked by the amount of money and support that they have given.”
Dave was inspired to start running ten years ago after a troubling visit with his GP revealed that he was overweight and at risk of getting diabetes.
The news was a wake-up call and through running Dave managed to lose an impressive three stone.
He added: “I was going down the line of diabetes and I didn’t want to go down that road. I started running and I lost three stone. It is a very good way of keeping fit.”
One day, when he was tackling his London transport themed jigsaw puzzle, inspiration struck to try and travel between all the places before him- by running to all of them.
Preparation started immediately, and it took Dave around four months to plan the route, which he says was the hardest part of the challenge.
He headed straight to the pub after finishing
In total, the trips added up to 485 miles across 40 runs, each taking between two and three hours to complete.
Dave started at Morden in September and ran to Battersea Power Station on his first trip, saying that all of his friends thought he was “bonkers”.
Some of the hardest runs along the way came from the newly added Elizabeth line - which meant Dave had to travel as far as Reading.
Battling rainy English weather and cold conditions, he says he almost gave up many times but that the money donated kept him motivated.
He added: “There was one Sunday in October where all my friends were in the pub or at home with a Sunday dinner and I was running from Upminster to Barking in the pouring rain and cold.
"It was around my hundredth run and I thought ‘how am I going to do another 400 of these.’
“There has been some really challenging times. It was difficult but I kept going. The money people were giving kept me going- I had to do it for them.”
Along the way Dave was supported by his wife Sue, 55, who shares his love of running, and his two children Daniel, 26, and Emma, 24.
The final stop on the journey was his home station of High Barnet, which he ran to from Kentish Town along with 15 friends on Sunday (January 26).
Arriving at the finish line, a crowd of supporters gathered to cheer him on and take him to the pub for a few pints.
Dave said: “I felt so proud that I had done it. There were a couple of times when I thought about giving up.

“About 20 people met me at the finish line as a surprise which was lovely. We all went to the pub to celebrate. I think many people will be pleased it’s over as well as me.
“It was really emotional crossing that finish line. I mostly felt relief. I was overcome by all the people there.
"When I saw everyone there I had a tear in my eye - it was fantastic.”
In terms of future plans, Dave is set to run the Tokyo marathon in five weeks’ time, marking the fifth major world marathon that he has tackled.
While in Tokyo, he will get the opportunity to visit the Chance for Children charity in person to see what his money has achieved.
He is also considering running to the rest of the London train stations which aren’t part of TfL - once he has recovered.

However, another had a different take due to sizing issues – they said: "I like this shoe, it's comfortable and makes me like an inch taller which I always appreciate. But the sizing is off. I'm a solid 6.5 size, and I always wear 6.5's in New Balance, but I ordered 6.5 in this shoe and it was an inch too big. I'm returning for a half size smaller, but I'm a bit worried even that will be too big."
A new nightclub will be allowed to open at a South London venue which was shut down last year after an alleged rape inside the premises. Eddie Hanson, Deputy Mayor of Camden, had his application to open Vision Lounge on the Old Kent Road approved by Southwark councillors at a meeting on Thursday (January 30), despite opposition from local residents, the Met Police and the council's own licensing team.
Club 701, the previous venue to operate out of the building which is unrelated to Mr Hanson, was stripped of its licence by the council in February 2024 after an alleged rape there. The club was open without the correct authorisation at the time.
Residents told the licensing meeting that they had endured 10 years of disturbances from previous clubs operating out of the same premises, including crime, indecent exposure and unlicensed food vendors setting up barbecues in the street nearby to serve drunken customers.

Pip Hayman, who spoke on behalf of a group of residents living near the venue, said: "When the nightclub [venue] goes into operation it really feels like residents in the area need to bolt down and prepare for an apocalypse-like environment. Drug taking has been a common problem… It's quite common at 3am in the morning for residents to be woken up by someone vomiting against their window. We've also had instances of indecent exposure."
He added: "When the nightclub operates in this area you get different food vendors turn up with barbecues and they will sit at different points around the local area serving patrons coming in and out."
Mark Lynch, from the local police's licensing team, told councillors that the venue wasn't suitable for a nightclub due to its location in a residential area and the history of antisocial behaviour and crime linked to previous clubs operating out of the building. Wesley McArthur, from the council's own licensing team, told the meeting that the venue had been 'a cause of complaint' under various licences and managers for the last 20 years.
He said: "It's a very hard property to manage. Nobody has lasted long there and every person who has taken over the premises has encountered problems or indeed caused problems."

Eddie Hanson said he had invested thousands of pounds into the planned club and said he had 20 years of experience in the nightlife business as a promoter, manager and door picker. He added: "We appreciate our neighbours. We want to work with our neighbours. We want to ensure our neighbours are part of our journey."
Cllr Renata Hamvas, Chair of the Licensing Committee, said that she and fellow Labour councillors Ellie Cumbo and Sunny Lambe had 'put faith' in Mr Hanson to manage the premises effectively and not cause disruption to residents. The exact conditions of the licence will be published at a later date. Mr Hanson applied for the club to be allowed to open until 5am on weekends.
Speaking after the meeting, Pip Hayman said he was disappointed with the councillors' decision. He said: "What more could be presented to a group of Southwark councillors to make them realise that this is not an appropriate licence to be granted?"
Opening the sentencing in Court 2, with Sarah's family sat tearfully in the public gallery, prosecutor Tom Little KC said: "Both of these defendants acting together conducted a bloodthirsty murder that was planned and premeditated in advance. This murder involved sadistic conduct and sexual conduct.
"Having committed that murder there was significant evidence of efforts thwart justice in the following days. The defendants had exchanged a number of depraved messages including a desire to kill victims with a knife and knives and then have sex with each other while covered in blood. They even discussed eating human flesh, but we do not suggest they did so."
The court heard Sarah, a 38-year-old mum-of-two, met Sansom on a dating app and later introduced him to Watts, who he started seeing. Their grim texts referenced dog porn and having sex covered in blood, plus videos of Sansom beating Watts with a wooden spoon and Watts performing sexual activity with a dog.

In one particularly disturbing exchange, Sansom sent a voice note saying: "Everyone looks like meat now, don't they. A play thing. Something to cut, something to bleed." Watts responded: "I wonder what they taste like, cooked flesh." Sansom then said 'people taste like pork, consistency, texture is the same'.
The couple also talked about dying together if they were ever caught, while Watts wrote a letter saying Sansom should have no liability if she was ever to die during one of their sex games. Police also retrieved videos taken by Watts that showed her attempts to secretly film a young woman under her duvet.
Mr Little said that when Sarah got in contact with Sansom asking him for money, he messaged Watts and they discussed slitting her throat over Watts' face. Then on March 1 2024, Sansom invited Sarah to his home on Burnell Road for 'a little party' with reference to being 'horny' and wanting to buy heroin.
Mr Little said Sarah was 'lured' to Sansom's home, with Watts also present, where, the prosecution say, she was attacked with at least one knife. He also said there was evidence consistent with strangulation.
Sansom and Watts then disposed of Sarah's body, first taking her arms, legs, and head to Rowdown Fields and New Addington, and then her torso to the River Wandle in Mitcham. Watts also purchased cleaning equipment, while Sansom bought an incinerator that Watts was spotted using by a neighbour to burn clothes.

After police launched an investigation into the discovery of Sarah's remains by a dog walker in the fields on April 2, Sansom sent a voice note saying 'We're not evil, we're not evil. We done the world a service'. There were also messages on Sansom's phone suggesting Sarah had been killed over a drug debt.
Sansom was arrested on April 6 and denied it all, despite the mountain of evidence against him. When Watts was arrested and brought into custody, she was heard muttering 'she deserved it anyway, dirty crackhead'. Watts claimed she was suicidal and voices told her to do 'bad things' but she was not permanently sectioned.
Alexandra Healey KC, defence counsel for Sansom, said there was no mitigation other than his guilty plea, and that Sansom accepted a whole life order was appropriate due to his previous conviction for murder. Sansom slit the throat of a cab driver in Croydon on Christmas Eve 1998.
Charlotte Newell KC, Watts, said her client was not seeking to blame Sansom for her actions, but asked the judge to consider the offences 'against the background of her vulnerabilities'. Ms Newell revealed Watts had been abused as a young teenager and sought out physically and sexually abusive relationships ever since.
The defendants will be sentenced by Mrs Justice Cutts at 2:30pm.

An on-the-run Scout leader accused of child sex offences told police he had been living in “paradise” for 27 years, after being arrested returning from Thailand, a court heard. Richard Burrows, 80, had fled the UK after being due in court in December 1997, a jury at Chester Crown Court was told.
He told his brother “not all paedophiles are the same”, as he planned his return to the UK in March last year. Burrows, originally from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, denies four counts of buggery, two counts of indecency with a child, two counts of attempted buggery and 47 indecent assaults against 10 complainants aged between nine and 15, from the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s.
As complainants of sexual offences, none of the victims can be identified. Mark Connor, opening the case for the prosecution, told the jury of eight women and four men that, over many years, Burrows systematically abused boys with whom he came into contact.
Mr Connor said: “He obtained positions of trust and responsibility which he breached to satisfy himself sexually with the youngsters.”
Burrows had worked as a housemaster at a school in Cheshire in the 1960s, where he allegedly preyed on vulnerable youngsters. He was also involved in the Scouts as a Scout leader, and was involved in amateur radio clubs. The jury was told Burrows admits indecent assault and sexual touching of some of the boys in his care.
But he denies abusing other youngsters and any penetrative sexual activity, drawing a distinction between that and sexual touching, which he appears to suggest is justified because in his mind he did no harm, the jury was told.
He claims the complainants in this trial are either mistaken about the identity of the perpetrator or are lying. Mr Connor said Burrows was first arrested in April 1997 and his house in Birmingham was searched. A number of magazines showing adolescent and pre-pubescent boys engaged in sex were found stitched inside one of his jackets.
He was charged with child sexual offences and was due to appear at Chester Crown Court on December 8 1997. When he failed to attend, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Burrows had fled to Thailand using the name Peter Leslie Smith, having cloned an acquaintance’s identity and obtained a passport in that name. He was arrested at Heathrow Airport when he returned to the UK on the eve of his 80th birthday last March.
“Having enjoyed 27 years in paradise, to quote his description of where he had spent his time on the run,” Mr Connor said.
Police appealed on BBC TV’s Crimewatch programme for information about Burrows, prompting more complainants to come forward.
