People online wanting more official updates on Kate Middleton's health have come up with a few bizarre theories as to where she could be. She hasn't been seen publicly since Christmas when she went to the church service in Sandringham with Prince William , and their three children. Every London Overground station closing during strike as more could shut 'at short notice'

Transport for London (TfL) has told customers which London Overground stations are due to close as workers take strike action next week. RMT union members are due to walk out on March 4 and 5 which would impact services and some stations. Customers have been urged to check before they travel. All Overground routes will run, officials say, but some will have 'reduced operating hours'. Passengers requiring assisted travel are 'strongly advised' to pre-book assistance before travelling. London Underground , Elizabeth line , DLR , London Trams, London buses and National Rail services are scheduled to operate as normal. Network Rail has announced an 'accelerated performance improvement plan' to address issues affecting the Elizabeth Line west of Paddington. Work to 'stabilise' the issues that have led to cancellations and delays - including passengers being left stuck in trains 'for hours' in December - will take place over the next six months, officials say. The following 12 months will see 'longer term improvements' to the network to tackle the 'key causes of disruption', which will be followed by work towards 'sustaining and renewing the network '. Network Rail is allocating nearly £140 million of dedicated funds. These will be from existing budgets with the majority (£104m) being set aside from Network Rail’s CP7 budgets from 2024 to 2029. FlixBus launches new London electric coach to two major cities for just £2.99

Flix have announced new electric long-distance coaches running to and from London. The coaches will be available for journeys from March and cost as little as £2.99. From March 21 until June 2024, travellers will be able to try out the electric vehicle on a FlixBus route between London, Bristol and Newport (South Wales). It will be the first 100 per cent electric long-distance coach service in England and Wales. Tickets start from just £2.99, and there will be a toilet, USB charging points and free wi-fi for all customers as standard on FlixBus services. They will also be PSVAR compliant, supporting travel for passengers in wheelchairs. Buses from London to Bristol for less than £3 take just under three hours, according to the FlixBus site, although it does not specify that these vehicles are electric. John Savident, known for playing Fred Elliott in Coronation Street, has died aged 86, his agent confirmed on Friday, February 23. The 86-year-old was known for his booming voice while playing the local butcher on the ITV soap. In 1994, Savident arrived on the ITV soap and became an instant hit with fans. A statement from his agent to the PA news agency said: "We are sad to announce the death of the actor John Savident who died on Wednesday. London hospitals have warned patients of severe disruption likely to be caused ahead of junior doctors' strikes due to take place this weekend (February 24-25). A fresh wave of strikes will be hitting the NHS and is likely to cause chaos for people needing emergency treatment. St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group has warned of severe disruption when the walkouts start on Saturday. It comes after staff faced one of their busiest days of the winter just days earlier, on Monday February 19. Detectives leading the hunt for Abdul Ezedi, wanted for a brutal attack on a mother and her children in Clapham, believe his body has been recovered from the River Thames. At around 4pm on Monday, February 19, the crew of a passing boat reported they had seen a body in the water at Tower Pier EC3. The body was recovered by the Met’s Marine Policing Unit and has been viewed by detectives working on the investigation. Commander Jon Savell said: “Based on the distinctive clothing he was wearing at the time of the attack and property found on his body, we strongly believe we have recovered the body of Ezedi. “We have been in contact with his family to pass on the news. “As you may expect after a considerable period of time in the strong current of the Thames, formal identification is not possible visually, nor from fingerprints. Steve Wright's son Tom has spoken out with a moving message after his dad passed away at 69 on Monday. BBC Radio 2 DJ 'Wrighty', who was famous for his radio show 'Steve Wright In The Afternoon', died earlier this week prompting a flood of tributes to the much loved presenter who called himself 'DJ Silly Boy'. On Monday morning, police and emergency first responders went to a flat in Marylebone , Central London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. London is set for a very wet evening but will avoid the worst of the daytime downpours on Saturday as a Met Office yellow warning comes into effect. Warnings over flooding have been issued across Britain as heavy downpours are set to lash the country with a 27-hour Met Office alert for rain in place. All of England and Wales is covered by yellow Met Office rain alerts lasting from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening, though Northern Ireland and Scotland will also be damp. In London the daytime is actually looking relatively dry throughout with overcast conditions from midday to 7pm with a 10% chance of rain. That gives way to light rain at about 8pm with a 60% chance of downpours. The temperature will remain constant at 12C according to the Met Office until it drops to 11C at 2am on Sunday. West London council warns of £19 million budget blackhole next year and worse in years to come

A West London council has warned of almost £19 million blackhole in its budget next year if the government freezes funding and axes an adult social care topper, a council report has revealed. Kensington and Chelsea Council said the budget deficit could grow to £32 million by 2027/28 if the Treasury does not align council funding with the forecast rate of inflation or continue provide additional adult social care grants. If both measures are met then the deficit is expected to hit £9.4 million in 2025/26 and £21.2 million by 2028. It comes as an updated budget report shows the council broke even in the latest financial year. It predicts the council's finances would be “adversely impact[ed]” if cost pressures associated with housing people in temporary accommodation and other services continue to rise and if inflation and interest rates fall slower than expected, and if savings targets aren’t met, the report revealed.
