M&S unveil £99 ‘coat of the season’ but shoppers are distracted by model Sienna Miller: 'She is the moment'
Marks and Spencer have unveiled their new autumn collection and it features a coat they've described as 'coat of the season'. The collection is in collaboration with model and actress Sienna Miller.
Sharing photos of the coat on their Instagram, M&S wrote: "We’re calling it now. This is the coat of the season! And it’s set to be a sell-out."
The Checked Relaxed Longline Coat with Wool is the 'coat of the season' in question. The pink checked coat is made from brushed fabric and wool, with a relaxed fit for a roomy fit.
The coat is part of M&S' autumn collection, which is represented by Sienna Miller. She modelled it on the official M&S Instagram along with the new pointed wedge boots, which cost £79.
The black leather boots, which also come in cream and suede, feature high wedge heels and Insolia technology meant to reduce pressure on your feet. They also come with antibacterial padding.
Sienna also paired the look with M&S' new leather gloves, which are lined and available in three neutral colours. She rounded off the look with square sunglasses, which come in both black and brown.
While the collection has yet to garner any reviews, the Instagram comments were full of compliments. "Just tried it on in XL and it’s amazing," one person wrote as another added "This coat is beautiful."
Others commented "this coat looks so good", "need this coat", and "This coat is going to be EVERYWHERE this winter." About Sienna, another fan said "Yeah, she’s a moment.
"Going to try this on ASAP." However, not everyone loved the chequered pattern as one person wrote "It reminds me of coats old ladies used to wear in the 1970s."
You can buy the Checked Relaxed Longline Coat with Wool, the black leather boots - and the cream and suede versions - along with the rest of the new autumn collection from Marks and Spencer.
