Frankie Bridge in West End play that 'made her scream for real' taking over from Cheryl and Lily Allen
Frankie Bridge is starring in 2:22 A Ghost Story, and has made some new revelations about the show. She took the role over from Cheryl, who in turn succeeded Lily Allen.
The West End thriller focuses on a couple who are renovating their London house. At 2.22am, Jenny, played by Frankie, hears mysterious sounds in the house and becomes convinced it's haunted.
Her and her husband eventually invite friends over and decide to stay up until 2.22am to see what happens. Frankie herself admitted to finding the show scary.

She told the Mirror: "Two times in a row, I’ve genuinely screamed. Even for me, being on stage, it makes me jump. I do believe there is something out there, and I do believe in mediums. I find them really comforting.”
The play has received rave reviews, with The Guardian writing "The suspense arrives eventually and the twist at the end is so clever, even for those who know what’s coming, that it sends us reeling back to the beginning in our minds. The production ultimately succeeds not because of its ramped up comedy but in spite of it.
"It will surely win audiences once again: it has entertainment value, and there are intelligent discussions about gentrification which bring depth to the ghost story as well. But there is the sense here that having become such a machine, it risks losing its heart."
